Javon D. Brame, Chairman-Denver African American Philanthropists

Javon serves as the Director of Student Support Services at the Community College of Denver, where he administers a 1.6 million dollar federal grant.  Javon supervises persistence, retention, completion and transfer efforts for first generation, low income, and differently-able students from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education.

Kevin L. Mullin, Treasurer-Denver African American Philanthropists

Kevin is a fundraising executive in Northern Colorado with over 20 years’ experience in nonprofit management and fundraising.  Kevin is a dual-graduate of Regis University in Denver, and holds a Master of Nonprofit Management degree as well as other certifications and credentials.  He currently serves as Executive Director of the Estes Park Medical Center Foundation in Estes Park, CO.  The Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Estes Park Medical Center, a rural Acute Care Critical-Access Hospital.  Kevin is passionate about improving the world through philanthropy and making a difference where he serves.

Eddie is a managing director of Seedim Ventures, a social-enterprise company driving positive commerce through private equity and real estate investments in vulnerable communities.  Eddie specializes in fund development, vulnerability management, and organizational recovery.  He serves as a consultant through Washington D.C. based, HCM Strategists, serving as Colorado State Policy Adviser for Lumina Foundation's Strategy Labs. 

He is the founding regional executive director for College Track, an entrepreneurial, comprehensive education organization, where he raised $2 million in capital to start-up a new site in Denver. 

He is a member of the Board of Trustees for The Denver Foundation, one of the largest community foundations in the country with over $750 million in assets.

Stephan Gatre, Past Chairman-Denver African American Philanthropists

Stephan, a native of Denver, Colorado, has established himself as a passionate, dedicated, community involved leader who is known throughout his community.Having love for the community in which he was raised Stephan makes it a point to give back in as many ways possible. It is important to him because he realized early on that without mentors and advice from successful individuals and family members he would not be where he is today.
